The president of the republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has directed the Minister of Education Honorable Mathew Opoku Prempeh to engage the Ghana Education Service (G.E.S) to reconsider its decision to ban some fourteen (14) dismissed final year senior high school students from writng the ongoing West African Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
In a press release signed by Eugene Arhin Director of Communications at the Presidency, Preident akuffo Addo is of the firm view that dismissal alone is enough punishment, and it will serve as enough deterrent against future. acts of indiscipline.
The president believes that everyone deserves a second chance, and hopes that the students will be able to allowed by the G.E.S. to write their final Exams, and all punishment imposed by the relevant authorities should remain in place.
