Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr Serebour Quaicoe, says it is sad people label those at the outfit as criminals and evil people.
Dr Quaicoe who appeared worried about the description given them said personnel at the EC had a clear conscience to work for the country and are doing so within the law.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Dr Quaicoe said the Commission has been transparent in its dealings.
“Do we have the backing of the law? Will what we are doing be in the interest of the nation? That is what we think about,” he said.
He, therefore, pleaded with Ghanaians to credit the EC with some credibility and dignity because staff of the EC were men who work with integrity.
He also urged Ghanaians to focus on the Electoral Commission instead of personalising issues with the Chairperson, Jean Mensa.
